Evolis Primacy, the fast and versatile card printer
Primacy is a high-end printer yet affordable, simple to use, flexible and very fast, in fact, print up to 225 cards per hour single-sided and 140 cards per hour in dual-side mode in color.
It is also upgradable in the field both with the magnetic, contact chip and RFID encoding modules and with the flip over module activation key to make it dual side.
Primacy is the ideal solution for the issue of:
- ID cards
- Access control cards
- Smart card (chip cards, contactless...)
- University cards
The Primacy printer is extremely fast, powerful and efficient
Associated with cutting-edge encoding technologies, Primacy printer is ideal for issuing personalized cards, from the most simple to the most protected. Available in single-sided or dual-sided models, Primacy responds in particular to printing and encoding requirements for medium and large card volumes. Thanks to an enhanced graphical processing, you get a faithful depiction of the images in high definition and more precise monochrome texts.
Primacy offers a 300 dpi resolution and edge-to-edge printing with excellent quality and allows you to customize color cards in record time: up to 225 cards per hour for single-sided printing and 140 card per hour for dual-sided.
You can evolve your printer by integrating a lamination module and different encoders: magnetic stripe, traditional or contactless smart card.

cardPresso XXSÂ is the basic version of the card design and printing software developed by the Portuguese company cardpresso LTDA and translacted into 11 different languages.

The process of dye-sublimation printing with the four-color ribbon takes longer thant direct thermal transfer printing using the monochrome ribbon.
