Interactive self-service solutions
The demand for self-service solutions has significantly increased and the growth trend can only continue.
The advantages of self-service card issuing stations or info points are so many that they can be used in any market or application: from the issue of loyalty cards, to university cards or to public transport passes. The features that can be added inside a kiosk are many, printing any type of plastic card or traditional or thermal card.
User recognition via QRcode, biometric or RFID systems, monitor for operation guide or simply information and advertising, panel for signing for authorization and much more.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Ideal for:
- Banks
- Institutions
- Retail stores
- Transportation
- University
- Business
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
- Print module: uses printers suitable for high-performance self-service kiosks
- Card insertion and exit slot: a card can be inserted manually in the slot (bezel) to check and / or update the data on the card and then withdraw it if the customer has taken too long at the kiosk or if the card is no longer valid or is expired.
- Simple software integration: kiosk projects involve the development of a customized interface between the IT system of the final client and the functions of the kiosk. Integrators will save time and money on the software integration component by selecting a manufacturer who also offers a free, complete and easy-to-use software development kit (SDK)
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
AUTONOMY
The daily volume of cards and the number of different card models to be printed should be considered. A kiosk must have sufficient autonomy to be part of the maintenance and recharge program of cards and print ribbons.
The greater the autonomy, the greater the time that elapses between the recharge and the maintenance from part of the staff and smaller operating costs.
The card capacity of the module are available today varies from one to several thousand. Fro maximum autonomy and maintenance efficiency the belt capacity must be within the same range.
CARD DESIGN NUMBER
Some banks or companies use different card designs to distinguish between service levels. The card used for "gold" and "standard" customers will be different. To reduce the unit cost per card, it may be advantageous to use pre-printed cards and therefore customize the information on the card with monochrome printing. A card printer module with a design number works best if you personalize the card and leave customers with several options to choose from. In this case, the number of card models available would determine the number of projects needed.
TERMINAL DESIGN AND DIMENSIONS
The constraints of the end customer, such as available space, aesthetics, kiosk location, etc. they can push to shift the balance towards certain printer modules. The functionality of a kiosk may require the integration of other components, including a screen, keyboard, ticket printer or webcam, to name a few. Therefore the space available for the card pritner module may be reduced. Choosing a compact module with a card feeder can compromise when it comes to choosing the range and the number of card models that can be produced.
SIMPLIFIED HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE INTEGRATION
Our systems are structured to integrate prefectly into all kiosk configurations. The latest generation fo Evolis Premiium SDK (software development kit) optimizes integration and communication with IT systems.
