Each Evolis printer includes a firmware (microcode). This firmware is a set of instructions and data structures for a specific material.

Evolis has developed new firmware for the following printers and optional modules:

Firmware 1935:

- Zenius
- Primacy
- Elypso

Firmware 1909:

- LCD display module

Firmware 1920:

- Card Lamination module

Firmware 5.60:

- Avansia
