Evolis has announced the production of a new color ribbon for use with Evolis Zenius, a 200-color color ribbon with the cassette made from 100% recycled material.

Evolis started looking for solutions to reduce the environmental impact of consumables on the environment last year and the first solutions applied to Zenius' color ribbon are finally available.

1. Recycled material for the tape cassette

After analyzing different materials, Evolis chose 100% recycled polystyrene to create the box. But for the core, POM (POLYOXYMETHYLENE) was used which guarantees fluidity and lack of friction during printing. POM is not made of recycled material, however it is recyclable.

2. Increase in tape capacity

YMCKO color ribbon goes from 100 to 200 prints per ribbon (+ 50%).

This increase in capacity decreases not only the environmental impact of transport but also transport costs.
