With an event attended by about three thousand people, the latest Costa Cruises ship, named Costa Deliziosa, was officially inaugurated in Dubai on February 23.

Evolis printers, which are already used on board ships as part of an extensive identification and management project for both guests and crew members - a project involving the participation of various suppliers, for various applications, from identification for the payment of services on board - badges were chosen for the printing of the entrance to the large structures set up specifically for the launching ceremony.

Costa Deliziosa, together with its sister ship Costa Luminosa, is the most exclusive and innovative ship in the fleet, with a tonnage of 92,600 tons and a maximum capacity of 2,826 guests. It was built by Fincantieri in Italy, in Veneria - Marghera, employing a total of 3,000 employees between Fincantieri employees and those of about 500 related companies, most of which are Italian, for a total investment of 450 million euros.

The inauguration ceremony was organized, in collaboration with the Italian company, by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). A unique event that saw for the first time in the world a new ship inaugurated in an Arab country, with a show that united the best of the two cultures.

The protagonists of the inauguration were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and his brother Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum; Pier Luigi Foschi, President and CEO of Costa Crociere S.p.A, Khalid Ahmed Bin Sulayem, General Manager of the DTCM; the godmother of the ship Tala Dionisi, wife of the Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
