Ministry of the Interior 17 May 2006 - Ministerial Decree published in the Official Journal of 9 May 2006, it is established who will bear the costs for the issuance of the CIE. The cost, established in € 30.50 including VAT, will be paid by the citizen. Poste Italiane, which will act as a collector, will retain € 0.50 to cover its costs, while the remaining € 30.00 including VAT will serve to cover the costs of the media and its customization.

Ministry of the Interior 10/08/2005 - Electronic Identity Card: Technical and security rules have been issued for the preparation of municipal and connection plans with the National Registry Index - Agreement with the ANCI for the interconnection of municipalities to the central system.

An Agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and the ANCI was signed on August 3 in which the Association of over 8,000 Italian Municipalities undertakes to guarantee a series of actions aimed at interconnecting the municipal registries with the INA-SAIA system of the Ministry of the Interior and to guarantee the "electronic" exchange of information between Municipalities and other Public Administrations.
