The HID Fargo HDP6600 printer produces high definition cards, up to 230 cards per hour and presents the innovative iON technology from HID Global for image transfer and lamination, an absolute novelty. The patent pending iON or "instant on" technology quickly heats the transfer roller and the optional laminator, allowing it to reach the optimum temperature in a few seconds, speeding up the entire retransfer and lamination process. Other laminar products may initially take up to 5 minutes to warm up. HDP6600 is ready to produce high quality cards in less than 60 seconds virtually eliminating the long wait for the first card. For laminated cards this may mean that the first card is ready up to 80% faster than other presses and can save up to 20 hours on average per year.
