The DNP CX-D90HS is the latest addition to the CX-D series, a thermal retransfer printer capable of offering extraordinary 600 dpi print resolution for high-security and high-definition results. Equipped with a print engine acclaimed worldwide for its quality and reliability, the CX-D90HS combines an extremely compact body design with government-level performance. It offers true edge-to-edge (full bleed) printing, protects the printhead from damage, and ensures real versatility for any type of secure card issuance.

High definition and amazing speed
The DNP CX-D90HS raises the standard for plastic card printing thanks to its 600 dpi resolution. This feature allows for the reproduction of vivid colors, complex logos, and fine characters that conventional printers struggle to handle. It is equipped with Microtext functionality, enabling the printing of crisp, tiny characters for a superrior level of authentication. Beyond quality, it offers speed: in fast mode, it can produce card in just 25 seconds.
Retransfer Technology and Reliability
Thermal retransfer technology separates the printing process from the card surface, printing firts onto a transparent film which is then thermally fused onto the card. This guarantees:
- Perfect "over-the-edge" printing without white borders
- The ability to print on uneven surfaces, such as smart cards with chips
- Protection of the printhead, which never directly touches the rigid card, drastically increasing its lifespan
Advanced Security for Official Documents
Designed for the issuance of government documents, the CX-D90HS integrates cutting-edge security features:
- IP Sec: A security protocol that prevents data theft during network transmission
- Security Erase: Renders sensitive data (such as personal information) remaining on the black panel of used ribbons unreadable, facilitating secure disposal (available on YMCK, YMCKK, and YMCKUV ribbons)
- UV Ink: The ability to use ribbons with a UV panel to print security elements invisible to the naked eye
- Physical Locks: Kensington security lock, along with electronically lockable card hopper and front door.
Compact and Functional Design
Despite its industrial performance, the chassis is compact and designed for integration. it includes and internal space (220 x 208 x 44 mm) dedicated to housing a Mini PC, trasforming the printer into a standalone issuance station.
